What is the OMV Developer Portal

The OMV Developer Portal is a great resource for anyone who wants to seamlessly integrate and leverage their application with digital resources provided by OMV.

An independent app developer or internal systems integrator, you can browse the available relevant collections of APIs, read their documentation and download their OpenAPI specifications.

You can sign up and register for API access and interact with the APIs from within the developer portal.

How you can start

As a developer, these are the 6 simple, self-paced steps you need to take to achieve productive API integration:

1. Check out our general documentation
   In order to get the big picture and understand how the developer portal works, please read our general documentation.

2. Browse public APIs
   Even before signing up, you can get a good overview of the look and feel of the portal and explore the available public APIs.

3. Register a new account or login
   If you are an OMV employee or you already registered in the developer portal, please sign-in. If you are an external developer without an OMV Active Directory account and you did not register yet please sign-up.

4. Get access to APIs by subscribing and/or creating an OAuth2 client for the API product(s)
   Once you have an account you can subscribe and/or create OAuth2 clients for API products in order to be able to send API requests.

5. Get approval
   You can subscribe to some public products directly without any approval needed. For other, more sensitive ones, you would need be granted a production key and/or an Oauth2 client app registration (if available for the product) after a short vetting process. You will get all your details via an email notification.

6. Integrate into your application
   As soon as you have the subscription keys and/or the Oauth2 client app, you can integrate them into your application and use it in production
